It was with great sadness that the committee and staff of County Down Milk Cup learned of the sudden passing of Nevin Spence their 2005 junior captain.

Nevin was an all round sports person and at the end of the 2005 tournament he went to Sunderland on trial. Nevins great love was rugby and he turned out for Ulster on many occassions bringing excitement and expectation every time he had the ball. There is no doubt he would have gone on to represent Ireland. He will be greatly missed in every circle.

The chairman and committee express their deepest sympathy to the Spence family on their great loss.
